A blog about all things beer

Dogfish Head 120

A picture from a few years ago, a weekend at the lake and we started it off right with some Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. Needless to say, what a great start to a good weekend of good brews and boat rides.

Mikeller daydream

Went over to Brad’s to celebrate St Patty’s n stumbled on these in his cellar. The man has def got style! Can’t wait to get on these beers.

The Deli at Alley Station

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA Clone

Well I think we are gonna attempt to clone a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, we are gonna try to clone it from bottle and see what we can come up with.

Give me your tears gypsy!

If you haven’t ever had a Mikeller beer dont feel bad. They are hard to come by. Only the best beer shops have them. Reason being Mikeller is in the category of “Gypsy Brewer”. He goes around to various breweries and leases out space. He also does collaborations with them like the one he did with Brewdog out of Scotland called I hardcore U. Enough background lets get to the beer…Its probably one of the best stouts I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Bitter from the expresso and hops but also counter balanced with aroma hops and sweetness from the malt. I think it will pair with any breakfast food out there. Especially some Huevos rancheros. This beer inspired us to do our own beer…Black Gold Texas Tea. I def suggest you going out and find any of the Mikeller brews. This beer just leaves you wanting more…so what do you do?! Go buy another one?! NO I went and found its cousin Beer Geek Brunch…Stay tuned for the results!

Whoops almost left out Sir Lo jack! Here is his 2 cents:  it was umm umm delicious and def would be good as a breakfast beer in the mountains in the morning with some eggs bacon and bisquits

St. Patty’s Day
